Daughters of Dali

Around two hundred of them, and no reliable list, for obvious reasons. The house runs in the women; the men of those families are ordinary and often resentful. They take the work that suits being unrecordable: couriers, singers, people who carry things across town. The city has never prosecuted one successfully. The city has never protected one either.
