Terms of Use

Last updated October 1, 2026

These terms cover Shorts Studio, the free Windows app from Rotten Apple that turns Twitch clips into vertical videos and can post them to YouTube and TikTok. By installing or using it you agree to them.

Free and open source

Shorts Studio is free. Its source code is published under the MIT License at github.com/NikaDzotse/shorts-studio, which also lists the licences of the programs and sounds it includes.

Your content

  • You're responsible for the videos you make and post with Shorts Studio, including having the right to use the clips, music, images and other material in them.
  • When you post to YouTube or TikTok, you must follow their rules, including their community guidelines and their policies on music, branded content and content made for kids.
  • Shorts Studio only posts when you tell it to (or at a time you schedule). It never posts on its own.

YouTube and TikTok

Shorts Studio's YouTube features use YouTube API Services. By using them you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. By using its TikTok features you agree to TikTok's Terms of Service and, when you post, its Music Usage Confirmation. How Shorts Studio handles your accounts is described in the privacy policy.

Twitch, YouTube and TikTok are trademarks of their owners. Shorts Studio isn't made, endorsed or supported by them, and they may change or limit their services at any time, which can stop parts of Shorts Studio from working.

No warranty

Shorts Studio is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any loss or damage from using it, including lost videos, posts that fail or go out differently than expected, or actions taken by Twitch, YouTube or TikTok on your accounts.

Changes

These terms may change; the current version is always on this page with its date. Using a newer version of Shorts Studio means accepting the terms as they are then.
