Setup
1Spotify connection
Requests play through your own Spotify account. You need Spotify Premium and a free developer app.
- Open the Spotify developer dashboard. Reuse your app if you have one, or create one and tick Web API.
- Under Redirect URIs, add the address below, click Add, then Save.
- Paste the app's Client ID here and press Connect Spotify.
2Playback device
Where requested songs play. Open Spotify and play something so your device shows up.
4Request playlist
Every Spotify request that plays is added to a private playlist in your Spotify, so you can find those songs again.
5OBS dock
Put this panel inside OBS so you can manage requests without leaving it. It talks to Streamer.bot through its WebSocket server.
- In Streamer.bot, open Servers/Clients → WebSocket Server. Tick Auto Start and press Start Server.
- Check the port below matches it. If you set a password there, enter it too.
- In OBS, open Docks → Custom Browser Docks. Name it Song Requests, paste the URL and click Apply. The dock is hosted on byttenapple.com and updates by itself; it only ever talks to the Streamer.bot on your own PC.
